Our Staff is here to serve the Lord and His congregation, as well as reaching out to the community. It's our desire to let everyone know that we represent Jesus Christ through our words and actions.
Pastor Brad Whitworth and his wife Sue came to us from Maryland by way of numerous points around the globe courtesy of the US Air Force. Licensed to preach in 1995, Pastor Brad served as pulpit supply and Lay Preacher for a number of Churches in Idaho & Virginia prior to coming to Alaska. BLBC is his first full-time pastorate, which correlates well with the church, since this is the first time it's had a full-time pastor. Previously all of our pastors have been bi-vocational or voluntary.
BLBC is blessed to have Pastor Dawson Lindblom and his wife Yvonne. He originally hails from South West Texas and has filled a number of roles from Pastor of Big Lake Baptist & Willow Baptist, to being Director of Missions for the Hatcher Pass Baptist Association.
Greg Kopp is currently chairman of the deacons at BLBC. He and his wife Aimee' have 3 beautiful children and serve the church in a variety of ministries. They originally came to the church from Washington state. Greg also leads the congregational worship service.
Rob Rhyne and his wife Milly have 3 wonderful children and serve the congregation in a number of capacities. Not only is Rob a deacon, but he and Milly serve in our Youth Ministry helping to reach and encourage our teens. Rob & Milly are from Alaska.
Mrs. Susan Jackman is another recent addition to the staff of Big Lake Baptist Church. She is responsible for most aspects of church administration and is likely the first voice you'll hear should you call the church.
